My name is Audrey Rippingale and I have worked in male-oriented fields of employment for a long time.  It is not about competition between male and female, or about girls trying to prove we are as strong as guys.  It is about respect and appreciation for who we are as individuals.  I know that I am not as physically strong as most of the men I have worked with.  Sometimes, I have had to find creative ways to get my work done, but I am strong and I have held my own amongst any crew I have worked with.  It is men that have helped me get to where I am today.  A vast majority of the men I have worked with with over the years have been respectful to me and have taught me so much. They became more than bosses, foremen or coworkers, they became friends.
