Mobile showroom? Check it out-
The creation of The Chick Truck has been a true labour of love for both myself, Audrey Rippingale, and my husband and lifelong companion of 30 years, Doug Rippingale. It started in January 2015 when I picked up the trailer from the barge terminal with my Kenworth at three in the morning! Between January and May, the trailer was completely gutted and transformed to the shop you see in the pictures. Contractors were subbed out for the blown roof insulation and electrical work, but other than that, everything was done by us. Doug spent months doing everything from installing the RV window, to the beautiful finishing touches of the hand-crafted accent lights, shelving units and trim board. All has been built to be mobile and flexible for travel on the road. The trailer is equipped with inverter, generator and electrical system much like a marine system. The 32 feet is packed with storage space and everything I need to be completely self-contained. The stairs are industrial, made from the same grating used on fish farms, and are bolted underneath the trailer during transport.
So if you are a women who works in industry or trades, there is finally a shop created just for you! A little unique, I know, but us women working in trades are non-traditional, so it just makes sense our shopping experience is unique too! Look forward to meeting you and hearing your stories. If you are interested in having The Chick Truck come to your community, let me know!
